This is a brief overview of what we believe and teach.
About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)
About God and the man Jesus
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)
About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)
About the Gospel (How to be saved)
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial) using full immersion (not sprinkling) and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)
About Church Unity
We teach that a strong church is a place where the people are in 1 mind and 1 accord. (See Acts 2:46 / Acts 5:12) We encourage people that visit to come with the mindset that they not only want to learn more about Jesus and go to Heaven, but also want to get involved. Church was not designed to be a social club or a Sunday event just for somewhere to go, but rather a family that loves, supports and prays for each other spiritually and will join together in the vision of the local pastors God has sent to take care of that congregation. We aren’t in this by ourselves but rather as a healthy body and as brothers and sisters working together to advance the Kingdom of God.
About Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.)
About Communion (The Lord’s Supper)
We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper or communion throughout the year from time to time. (See 1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
About the Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.)
About the Ministry
We recognize the importance and authority of the 5 fold ministry in the church. God Himself has placed the leadership of the church in the hands of people for the sole purpose of preparing others for Heaven. (See Ephesians 4:11-12 – 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:) We always strive to lead and teach others in love and desire to help people become everything God wants them to be. We are always ready to answer your questions and teach personal bible studies when requested.
